Mechanical Service

Restoring performance and reliability

As well as per electrical and hydraulic OEM spare parts, Pinfabb SRL offers OEM and tailored spare parts also for any stabilizers mechanical plant. Our mechanical offer includes seals, bearings, bushes, bolts, and more.

Reverse Engineering and Precision Manufacturing

When original mechanical spare parts are no longer available, Pinfabb can reproduce or redesign them through advanced reverse engineering and precision manufacturing processes. Using high precision measuring tools, CAD modeling, and high-grade materials, we provide full compatibility and durability of every replacement component.
Each part is built to meet or exceed OEM standards, restoring the reliability and performance of the stabilizer system while minimizing downtime.

Refinning Service

Re-Finning is a new concept of optimization and overhaul of stabilizers which has been introduced by Pinfabb in 2025 and that took life in 2026 when the first stabilizers blades engineered and designed has been produced and installed onboard.

The idea behind the Re-Finning concept is to provide the ship with a more modern and reliable stabilizers design, with the aim to provide a good stabilization effect and as much as less undewater friction in harmony also with the real and updated vessels cruise speed.

Those new stabilizers are designed with a different internal geometry and brings together also some important extra benefits as they have been ideated by service people as we are:

  • Upgrade of shaft seals housing to accommodate extra seals to reduce leaking risks.
  • Upgrade of shaft seals casing with the possibility to bond shaft seals without removing the blade/shaft (in some OEM model this is not possible).
  • Upgrade of crux/shaft to obtain the possibility to check status of external seals from inside the ship.
  • Upgrade of the connection bracket between actuator and shaft.
The Re-Finning has demonstrated to be also very useful when the existing stabilizers present issues as cracks, consumption etc which need to be addressed during a Dry Dock in a very long and expensive way: With the Re-Finning the new blade and shaft arrives new from factory and just need to be prepared and installed in place of the existing one cutting all repairing time and costs.
